IntroductionI've studied the training the training philosophies of many traceurs. They differ greatly. Some say you'll be fine if you avoid large drops, and don't take any drops of more than 1 meter for the first six months. The original original Traceurs (yeah, the "original Traceurs', the ones who are referred to with a capital T) just use a general rule of 80% strength training, 20% movement training. Still others (and by others I mean the yamakasi) don't even let their members jump for the first year of training. And then there's me.My storyWhen I started out, I was, to be completely frank, pretty stupid.
q tal soy nuevo en esto del parkour, y pues me gustaria que me ayudaran diciendome unos ejercicion basicos o los movimientos principales para poder empezar, ya que no se aun nada y no quiero empezar mal o lesionado
No you didn't read wrong, and i didn't wrote this wrong!Few days ago me and a friend were watching those trainings for the film 300, so we decided to do 300 saut de précision on our next training session, for the honor of the hard training. so things were going really great then we decided to do 500 jumps (saut de fond, saut de précision) It was really good the way it happened, we started doing two sets of 50 repetitions and resting few minutes betwing sets, so we did 100 in a row, and then more 2 sets of 50, then it became 300 we felt really tired but our body still had energy something else, then we did 100 saut de fond (2 sets of 50).
I've been talking with friends which are using some extra weight to increase their strength, i was really against it, cause i always associated my last year's shoulder injury to some extra weight pull ups i was doing, but then i decided to test it again.I got my girlfriend's ankle's weight which together make 8kg and then i made a belt to wear it.Wednesday was the first day wearing this belt was just in a matter of trying it, so i did 20 push-ups, 30 pull-ups, and 30 dips, and i didn't had any muscular pain or felt my muscles tired on the day after.so last night after came from few planches
I've been wondering about making an English version of my personal blog, so i decided to use Parkour.net's blog to write somethings in English.I'm going to translate the most important posts from my blog here, and starting posting the news together with the Brazilian version. so here goes.Nutrition,During a talk at the taekwondo gym i train, we were talking about good feeding habits. When i said that i eat 2x day, people got really crazy and said that i was really mad, that i should eat at least 5/6 times per day.As i don't have much to lose on trials, i decided at February 26 start doing a new diet.

We then did 15 reps with a 4.6KG weight on each hand, that helped alot.

Greetings from Louisiana, one of the flattest places on Earth, geologically and structurally. Me and a few friends of mine have been trying out a few spots (a public school included in which the police were involved, but they let them off so it's all good) and we can't find anywhere to train. I don't know if there any other traceurs around here, but if there are, we need some help finding a good place.
Well, I am new to parkour. I found out about it through the movies B-13 and Casino Royale and after seeing them I decided to investigate it more. The more I looked into Parkour and the more I saw people practicing it the more I wanted to be involved as well. So, in my usual fashion I have decided to jump right in as I do with the few things that have really caught my eye and got my mind a spinning. I have begun the task of training my body to be able to undertake the stresses presented in Parkour, building my strength and stamina for the long runs and quick movements. I have even found a place around where I live to be able to practice.
